Cardano, Polygon, and Solana are removed from the US market by Revolut

The SEC identified those assets as securities in cases against Coinbase and Binance.

On June 28, the United Kingdom’s Revolut, a fintech company, sent an email to users based in the United States informing them that it would no longer be supporting three major cryptocurrencies.

Cardano (ADA), Polygon (MATIC), and Solana (SOL) will no longer be able to be purchased through the company’s app by U.S. users immediately.

Users will no longer be able to hold or sell those cryptocurrencies at a later, unspecified date. After that date, Revolut will naturally sell the tokens and store the same money into every client’s Revolut account.

The delisting just influences a little piece of the organization’s upheld coins. Revolut as of now upholds in excess of 80 tokens, as per its site.

Delisting follows high-profile SEC cases

Revolut said that it is delisting the above resources due to changing regulations and guidelines in the U.S. However the organization didn’t explicitly recognize the Security and Trade Commission’s continuous arguments against Coinbase and Binance, both of those cases name ADA, MATIC, and SOL as protections.

In the past few weeks, the same assets have been removed from other crypto platforms and exchanges. Robinhood declared that it would delist ADA, MATIC, and SOL on June 9, while Bakkt reported it would delist those coins on June 16.

Revolut gave no further remark on its choice except for furnished CryptoSlate with a duplicate of the email that it shipped off its clients.
