Elon Musk said on May 10 that he has selected a new CEO to lead Twitter.

Musk wrote in a tweet:

“Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks!”

Musk stated that he would continue to work for the company as CTO and executive chairman; He will be in charge of software, product, and sysops.

According to earlier speculation, the most likely candidate is former Meta COO Sheryl Sandberg, Musk’s tweet suggests that the new CEO is female. However, the identity of the new CEO has not yet been confirmed by Twitter or Musk.

Musk assumed the job of Chief in October 2022, when he gained Twitter following a very long time of discussion and obvious retractions of the arrangement.

Musk’s Twitter is less crypto-focused

The social media platform was anticipated to incorporate crypto and blockchain features, including Dogecoin payments, following Musk’s acquisition of Twitter.
