Bloomberg reported on May 5 that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is investigating whether Binance violated Russian sanctions.

The DOJ’s national security division will specifically investigate whether Binance or its executives violated sanctions in connection with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. Various assents of this sort were forced start in mid 2022, and Binance apparently answered by restricting its administrations to Russia in April 2022.

According to Bloomberg’s sources, the investigation is taking place concurrently with another ongoing inquiry from the DOJ’s criminal vision.

Binance and its chiefs have not yet been blamed for bad behavior, and the test has not been authoritatively declared or recently revealed, Bloomberg said. Instead, it got its information from five people who were familiar with the situation.

Bloomberg’s sources said that Binance has recently drawn in with the DOJ to determine different issues around consistence, especially those disturbing Iranian assents avoidance.

Interestingly, on May 4, Senator Elizabeth Warren spoke about Binance’s handling of Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps cryptocurrency.

On March 27, the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) brought charges against Binance, claiming that the platform permitted users to gain unauthorized access to commodities.
